The Nematological Society of India (NSI) was established in 1969. Presently, the Society has almost 400 members in India and abroad. Drs. D.J. Raski, A.R. Seshadri, Gopal Swarup, C.L. Sethi and M.S. Jairajpuri are Honorary Fellows of the NSI.
Events
A biennial symposium is held by NSI.
The Nematological Society of India is organizing the “National Conference on Innovations in Nematological Research for Agricultural Sustainability – Challenges and A Roadmap Ahead” during 23 -25 February, 2010, at the Department of Nematology, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India.

The Nematological Society of India organised the symposium on ‘Nematology in 21st Century: Emerging Paradigms’ at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam, India during 22-23 November 2007.
Publications
The Indian Journal of Nematology (ISSN 0303-6960) was launched in 1971 and is published twice yearly by the society. It has recently undergone a revamp in layout style.
Subscriptions
Annual membership and subscription rates:
The membership fee (for bonafide researchers from India) is Rs. 600 per year + Rs 50 for one time registration. The journal is sent free to members in good standing. For others the annual subscription is Rs. 3000 within India. Overseas Subscription charges are US $ 200 + postage (for print) and US$ 250 + postage (for online+print). Subscription for ICAR Institutes, SAU Libraries and Non-profit organizations of India is Rs. 2000 per year.
