The Nematological Society of India (NSI) was established in 1969. Presently, the Society has almost 400 members in India and abroad. Drs. D.J. Raski, A.R. Seshadri, Gopal Swarup, C.L. Sethi and M.S. Jairajpuri are Honorary Fellows of the NSI.

A biennial symposium is held by NSI.

The Nematological Society of India is organising a symposium on 'Nematology in 21st Century : Emerging Paradigms' at Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam, India during 22-23 November 2007.

Publications

The Indian Journal of Nematology (ISSN 0303-6960) was launched in 1971 and is published twice yearly by the society. It has recently undergone a revamp in layout style.
